Decline Curve Analysis

When field data is available, reservoir engineers make use of analytical methods to estimate the production of a well or a group of wells. such technique is known as  decline curve analysis and it is a very powerful method to estimate production and reserves. Production trends can be estimate using different equations, such as Exponential or Hyperbolic decay and Water Cut and Water Oil Ratio forecasts. Kraken has an interface to import historical data from the field and perform such calculations over those data, saving a substantial amount of time from the engineers, since all the coefficients used on the trends calculation are extracted automatically using regressions techniques implemented in the tool.
